Alex leads Climateworks Centre’s Industry team, working across the organisation and with partners to accelerate industrial decarbonisation across Australia and the Asia Pacific.

Alex has broad experience at the intersection of industry, government and research. Before joining Climateworks, Alex worked with the Victorian Government’s international trade and investment agency, leading the sustainability, manufacturing, and mining portfolios. In this role he designed and delivered collaborative multi-stakeholder industry development programs and international trade missions that facilitated market access, drove sustainability outcomes, and connected industry with capital, customers and commercial partners across multiple regions.

Earlier in his career, Alex worked in international development with Australian Red Cross, as well as with a range of private sector ventures.

Alex holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of International Relations from the University of South Australia.
