C-IMPACT: Clean Industrial Manufacturing for Promoting ASEAN Competitiveness and Transformation

Southeast Asia, representing six per cent of global GDP and the world’s fifth-largest economy, is poised to become a global manufacturing hub, accounting for a quarter of global energy demand over the next decade.  Southeast Asia faces challenges in green industrialisation including demand uncertainty for green products, high capital costs, and a lack of collaboration on decarbonisation which increases its risk of losing global competitiveness and falling behind in green growth.  Climateworks Centre and Mission Possible Partnership initiated the Clean Industrial Manufacturing for Promoting ASEAN Competitiveness and Transformation (C-IMPACT) project to accelerate clean manufacturing in ASEAN member states.
